WHAT COURSES DO WE RUN?
LEVEL 1 FOOD HYGIENE CERTIFICATE
This is the national REHIS certificate delivered online by a qualified college lecturer> the course will be a combination of textbook, workbook, pre-recorded videos from the lecturer and face to face Zoom as well as online support. As with the normal delivery there is a multiple choice exam at the end which will be conducted online.
FIRST AID CERTIFICATED
This certificated First Aid course will be delivered on line with a face to Face element to meet the requirement of certification by a qualified college lecturer. The course will be a combination of Textbook, workbook, pre-recorded videos from the lecturer and face to face Zoom as well as online support. As with the normal delivery there is a face to face teaching and observation element of resuscitation methods
INTRODUCTION TO VIDEO CONFERENCING APPS SCQF LEVEL 3
This unit is designed to provide accreditation for learners who wish to understand the basics of video conferencing in order to undertake activities such as online learning, interviewing for jobs, supporting their children’s learning and engaging in family and social activity through apps such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meets. It aims to provide practical ICT skills from the downloading of the app to the setting up and hosting of online meets. The unit will allow the students to assess which video conferencing App would most suit their needs in differing situations. It will further allow them to engage with a variety of different video conferencing apps, when selected by others.
CV BUILDING FOR JOB SUCCESS
The course would be under a format of lecturer input around aspects of CV development, group discussion on generic issues affecting people and allocated time slots to discuss with individuals specific or confidential issues. The content will be based around CV Structure, Matching the job requirements, Selling yourself, Language skills, Editing, and IT management of CV’s.
