The Board

The Whiteinch Centre is a vehicle for partnership between two major community anchor organisations in Whiteinch, Whiteinch Community Association (WCA) and Whiteinch and Scotstoun Housing Association (WSHA).

The Whiteinch Community Association: owns the Centre on behalf of the local community and is led by a management committee of volunteers and representatives from local organisations and community groups.  WCA sets the strategy for the building with the assistance of Centre staff.

The Centre also enjoys support from Whiteinch and Scotstoun Housing Association, which provides two directors to WCL Board and offers help with HR, Health and Safety and financial management.

The current members of the Board are:

Tam Munro (Chair)

Volunteers

The Whiteinch Centre is a Volunteer Friendly Centre with volunteers and volunteering at its heart, helping to ensure that the centre provides the support and services needed in the community.  The Centre promotes volunteering, offering training, guidance and support to people who wish to get involved in volunteering.  Volunteering can help give people the chance to build their confidence and skills through helping others, at the Centre we create opportunities for people to give something to their community.
