As a social enterprise led by the community, we want to ensure that you are involved in the growth and development of the centre. Many of you will recall that we launched a community feedback survey in March of this year. Using the findings of the survey, we have been busy working on a new pilot programme for Whiteinch Centre.
One of our key objectives is to support local health and well-being; we hope to fulfil this by providing activities that encourage the community to keep fit, look after their mental well-being and pursue passions, old and new. We received so many fantastic recommendations from the survey including photography, kid’s activities, yoga, tai chi, mindfulness and exercise classes. We have tried to pursue as many of these suggestions as possible and we hope that you will find the new programme to be exciting, engaging and useful.
We have a list of proposed activities for the new pilot programme. To see the list and sign up, please contact email@example.com or speak with a member of the team at reception. If you are interested in a particular class, we strongly recommend signing up as new classes will be pursued based on the level of interest we receive.
New classes will run in 6 week blocks so that the centre can assess interest and participation levels. It is our hope to create a programme that meets the needs of the local community as well as being a sustainable venture with longevity.
Up first, we have a “Wind Down Yoga” class starting on 21st October. The class will run from 18.30 – 19.30 on Sundays and is open to all ages and abilities. The class is run by the fantastic Anne from Anne’s Yoga Heart. If you’d like to be reminded of when the class starts, sign up and we’ll give you a call.
