Through a fusion of Latin-American, Middle-Eastern and African-Caribbean dance styles, Rhythms Dance Classes introduce a new and fun way of exercising – toning and energizing your body and bringing a smile to your face.

We aim to, start locally, think creatively and explore globally!

Rhythms Dance Classes actively engage participants in healthy physical exercise as well as providing a valuable space within which members of the community can engage with one another in a relaxed, open and creative environment.

The aim of Rhythms Dance Class is to extend the health benefits of regular exercise to people in the local community and to engage artistically with the various cultures that are thriving amongst Glasgow’s communities.

Rhythms Dance also aims to improve:

· Confidence

· Creativity

· physical fitness and mental well-being

· cultural awareness

· social interaction

· community cohesion

Created by Maritza Rodriguez and Rose Filippi, Women’s World Rhythms forms part of Clan Macondo an umbrella scheme developed in Glasgow which includes dancers, musicians and artists from all over the world.
