SUMMER OF FAMILY FUN!

summer2010

It’s that time of year again!

Summer 2010 at the Whiteinch Centre is shaping up to be a really exciting programme, with activities for adults and kids alike.

This year, we’re really glad to have Siobhan Lawson teaching textile-based art classes for adults and Lou Prendergast teaching art classes for children.  Glasgow Life (formerly Culture and Sport Glasgow) are offering a class on a piece of software called Comic Life, which should be good fun especially for people interested in digital photography or sequential art. Glasgow West Amateur Boxing Club will be running a series of classes for children and Dance With Attitude will be back in the Centre with Street Dance classes.  For adults looking to unwind, we’re offering half hour massages with Lifelink. Taster sessions on the Talk 2 project from West CHCP.  Talk 2 is designed to support parents in communicating with their children about growing up and relationships.  In the same vein, June Grindley will be leading workshops called ‘The Architects’ which aims to bring parents and children together using lego as a focus.  Come and build!

Creches will be available for some sessions.  Healthy Lunch Vouchers will be available for children too!  Contact Ruth at the Centre to book spaces on activities – they may be limited!

Other activities are to be confirmed – watch this space!
