New Classes for 200
Happy New Year from all of us at The Whiteinch Centre!
For 2009, the Get With Whiteinch project is bringing in some new classes.
Adult Literacy and Numeracy starts on Thursday the 15th January at 6.30pm and is being run in conjunction with Culture and Sport Glasgow. This is a really good opportunity to brush up on reading, writing and numbers in a relaxed setting. If evenings aren’t convenient but you would still like a bit of help in this area, Pathways to Progress runs a similar class in the Centre on Tuesday afternoons – more information can be found here.
Starting on Tuesday the 20th January at 6pm, is the Centre’s first ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) class. If you are new to the UK and would like to get some help with basic English, please come along and find out more. As with all our classes, this is being offered for FREE.
Also planned for the New Year is the fantastic Activate community development course, which starts on Monday 19th January at 6.30pm – more information can be found here, and a short Beginner’s Spanish class – watch this space! If you would like more information about any of the activities on offer, please contact Ruth Bain on 0141 950 4434 or by email to rbain@whiteinchcentre.org.uk
